Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor Testing – Video Tutorial
This is a intake air temperature (IAT) sensor video. This video shows how the IAT sensor works. This sensor has two terminal, the ground terminal and reference voltage terminal. The ground is connected to the pin 5 of OBD-2 and the 5V refence signal is supplied by ECM. This sensor is maybe located in intake air deck. Here is the tutorial video:
To test this sensor, connect the black probe of the multimeter to the ground terminal and red probe to the positive of battery. The voltage should be 12 V. Then connect the black probe of the multimeter to negative battery and the red one to the signal reference terminal. The voltage should be close to 5V (4.6V to 5V).
